July 4th

No matter what your plans are for the 4th of July, they will be ending in fireworks.  So, whether you are at a house party with friends or enjoying a beer on the beach, here is a great drink recipe to enjoy, a couple sweet treats that are super easy to make, and a few outfits that incorporate red, white, and blue to help you enjoy the day leading up to the big finale!

Fresh Strawberry Margaritas 
Recipe for one margarita, can be easily multiplied. 

2 oz. grand marnier 
1.5 oz. tequila 
2 oz. lime juice 
2.5 oz. Strawberry Simple syrup (here)
Lime & fresh strawberries for garnish
Salt & sugar for the rim

Rim the ridge of your glass with a lime wedge and dip in a mix of margarita salt and sugar (3 tablespoons of salt and 2 teaspoons of sugar).  Fill the glass with ice.  In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, grand marnier, simple syrup and lime juice with ice, and shake for about 30 seconds.  Pour over ice, squeeze in lime slices, and add a few strawberries.
